Alec Hardy started in 2014 as a cam model and since then he has mostly focused on sex toy reviews and using sex toys in most of his content. He makes clips and also has a fansite where he still does live streams occasionally.
"8 years ago we were looking for something to do with my then girlfriend from home that pays well. We came across a LiveJasmin ad, and we were sure it was some sort of scam, but we were pretty adventurous, so we gave it a try and 2 weeks later we got our first payout" Alec said. Since he had two day jobs already he only kept camming as a hobby and as a way to keep himself up to date in case his girlfriend -who started doing it full-time- needs any help. Those occasional streams were mainly on Chaturbate, but he did cam and earn on BongaCams, Cam4, Flirt4Free and MV Live. In his early days one of his proudest achievements was being 6th on the MV Live top100 earners and being the only single male model on the entire list of 100 people.
Since he was still programming on retainer during the day, keeping a consistent schedule was really hard, so he decided to start pivoting more and more towards content. He was really fascinated by sex toys and he remembered in a few of his videos he started mumbling about some of the toys. He didn't even really know what a "video review" was back then. That was still the era of "unboxing videos". He noticed that he was getting very good feedback on these videos so he started showing off more and more toys and it somehow organically turned into being a full-on sex toy reviewer.
"I love learning about videography and photography, and I try to focus on quality whenever I can. Right now I'm experimenting with shooting 3D VR180 content and I already produced a few short videos that I'm very happy with" Alec told us.
Ever since he went to his first show in Bucharest in 2018, he was hooked. He loves the people, the vibe, and the parties are amazing. He never goes with a specific agenda, just to make friends, and usually great collaborations grow out of these new relationships organically. Most of his current business connections came from visiting a show so he is extremely happy that even though he felt shy and wasn't sure about going in 2018, he did make the jump.
